It seems just like yesterday that Bindi Irwin was a little kid who from time to time would appear on her dad’s tv show, The Crocodile Hunter Diaries.
But the eldest child of the late Steve Irwin is all grown up. In fact, the 26-year-old is now happily married with a child.

In 2013, Chandler Powell – a professional wakeboarder – and his family travelled to Australia for a competition. While Down Under, they visited Australia Zoo and Chandler met Bindi for the first time.
Two years later, in 2015, Bindi and Chandler announced they were dating and made their debut on the Dancing With The Stars Australia red carpet. But Chandler revealed that he and Bindi had kept in touch ever since their first encounter in 2013.
“She ended up giving me a tour, and we ended up staying in touch,” Chandler told Dancing With The Stars.

“We stayed in touch and became great friends. I can’t really say when it turned into more. It just evolved over time and bloomed into this wonderful thing,” Bindi echoed in a separate interview with US Weekly.
In 2018, Chandler quit wakeboarding and moved to Australia to be with Bindi as well as to learn more about wildlife conservation.
When did Bindi Irwin get married?
After a few years of dating, Chandler proposed to Bindi in 2019. The couple then got married on March 25, 2020.
The ceremony was originally planned for April 2020 and was supposed to be a lavish affair with over 200 guests but the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything.
Bindi and Chandler met in 2013, got engaged in 2019, wed in 2020 and welcomed their first child in 2021.
Instead, Bindi and Chandler had an incredibly intimate wedding at Australia Zoo with only Bindi’s mum and brother, Terri and Robert Irwin, and Steve Irwin’s best mate, Wes Mannion, in attendance.

In honour of Chandler’s birthday, on November 14, 2023, Bindi took to Instagram to post an incredibly sweet video montage. The clip featured pretty much everything from footage of their wedding reception to home videos featuring little Grace. “Join me in wishing @chandlerpowell the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY! Chandler, I love you with all my heart for my entire existence,” Bindi captioned her loving post.

On September 24, 2023, Bindi shared an incredibly cute family photo on Instagram which she captioned with, “My. Entire. World.” Chandler was quick to comment on the post and wrote, “The sweetest girls❤️ You are OUR entire world.”
Fans also commented on the post, voicing who they thought Grace was taking after in the looks department. “Aww she’s looking much more like Chandler,” one person wrote, while another said, “Little Gracie is looking like a carbon copy of you Bindi!!!!”

In honour of Father’s Day 2023 (which is celebrated in June in the US), Bindi shared an incredibly sweet tribute to her husband and father of her child, Chandler Powell.
“I thought I knew how much I loved you when I married you. Then I watched you become the best dada to our beautiful daughter. Now I realise that every day I’ll just keep loving you more. You mean the world to me and Grace. ❤️,” Bindi wrote on Instagram.

On May 6, 2023, the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner – an annual celebration of the life and legacy of the original Wildlife Warrior that raises funds for conservation work – was held in Los Angeles.
And Bindi took to Instagram to thank Chandler for being her date for the evening. “My date to the #SteveIrwinGala 🤎 @chandlerpowell Thank you for being such a supportive, kind, incredible person who I love with all my heart. Tonight was so special,” she wrote.
