How to get the new Bluey ‘Dollarbucks’ collectable coins

They’ve just been released in Australia…

Attention Bluey lovers! In partnership with the Royal Australian Mint and BBC Studios, Australia Post has officially launched a Bluey coin collection.

The collection features 10 collectible $1 coins that feature bespoke illustrations of Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, Chilli and other characters from the show.

“We are excited to bring Bluey to the world of collectable coins,” Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail Josh Bannister said of the new collection.

“Whether you’re enchanted by Bluey’s adventures or someone who has enjoyed the show from its early days, these coins are a unique way for fans to connect with the characters they love and celebrate a show that has touched the hearts of families across Australia and beyond.”

How to get Bluey $1 coin?

If you’re wanting to get your hands on the Bluey coins (aka Dollarbucks), you can either keep a close eye on your change when you pay with cash at a participating Australia Post Office from September 2, 2024.

Or you can buy the full Bluey collectables range online at Australia Post’s site. Prices start at $10.

How many Bluey coins were minted?

The 10 designs have unlimited mintage; meaning the mintage will reflect demand.

However, there are a few rare Bluey coins…

For starters, there’s the 2024 $1 Bluey AlBr Coloured Proof Coin – only 5,000 of these were minted.

Most of these have been randomly placed in 1 out of every 10 tubes of the Bluey 10-coin Tube and Collectable Folder Set, which you can purchase on Australia Post’s site for $29.

Or, if you’re quick, you can buy one of the special coloured coins outright for $50.

Furthermore, there’s also the 2024 $1 Bluey Silver Coloured Proof Coin; only 2,650 of these were minted but, again if you’re quick, you can buy them for $99 on Australia Post’s site.
