It’s been one year since Johnny Ruffo passed away.
And in honour of the anniversary, Johnny’s partner Tahnee Sims penned a beautiful tribute on Instagram.
“One year on without you… It feels like just yesterday and a lifetime ago all at once,” Tahnee began.
“There are so many things I wish I could say to you, so many moments I have wanted to share with you, so many times I’ve reached for my phone to call you, but the main thing I would want you to know is that I am okay,” she continued.
“Grief is incredibly heavy but it’s the price we pay for love and I’m so grateful for all of the years we got to share together and the lifetime of love and adventure we packed in.
“Forever wouldn’t have been long enough with you… Miss you J.”
Along with these heart-wrenching words, Tahnee shared several sweet photos of her and Johnny.
Friends and fans were quick to offer their support and condolences on Tahnee’s post.
Lynne McGranger, who worked with Johnny on Home and Away, commented, “Sending truckloads of love dear Tahnee as we remember darling Johnny and smile knowing he is still in our hearts.”
“Such beautiful words Tahnee and such a strong woman. Sending you so much love,” Jessie Renee Wynter wrote.
Johnny passed away on November 10, 2023, after a six-year-long battle with brain cancer.
He was only 35-years-old.
The singer/actor was first diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and swiftly underwent surgery to have a brain tumour removed.
Two years later, in 2019, Johnny entered into remission.
But sadly, in November 2020, Johnny announced that his cancer had returned and in August 2022, Johnny shared that his cancer was terminal.
Johnny and Tahnee began dating shortly after they first met at a dance studio in 2015.
The couple stayed together right up until Johnny’s death last year.
