People have a serious love-hate relationship with Emily in Paris.
The show was the most watched show on Netflix in 2022 and has been nominated for 6 Emmy Awards.
And yet, people constantly criticise Emily and her “wacky” outfits on social media.
So why is the show so popular? In my humble opinion, there are a few reasons.
For one, the characters Camille and Sylvie have impeccable fashion; not surprising since Patricia Field of Sex and the City fame is the costume designer.
Another is that it’s simply a guilty pleasure to watch fun, campy, predictable and easy-to-follow television.
If you’re yet to watch Seasons 1, 2 and 3, do so immediately. Trust us – you’ll enjoy it!

Yes! Season 4 Part 1 of Emily in Paris will be released on August 15, 2024. Part 2 will be released on September 12.

Do Emily and Gabriel get together?
It’s not yet clear whether Emily and Gabriel will finally get together.
After sharing a few kisses and sleeping together once during the first three seasons of Emily in Paris, something always kept Emily and Gabriel apart.
For instance, Gabriel was with Camille, then Emily was with Alfie… Of course, that all blew up at the end of Season 3. (Warning: spoilers ahead!)
During Gabriel and Camille’s wedding, Camille announced she couldn’t go through with the marriage because it was obvious Gabriel was in love with Emily.
Alfie quickly broke up with Emily after realising she returned Gabriel’s love.
But when Emily went to talk it all out with Gabriel, he revealed that Camille’s pregnant with his child.
So who knows what will happen between the two in Season 4; only time will tell!
