Before the premiere of this year’s I’m A Celeb, Channel 10 released several clues about who the celebrity contestants were going to be — just like they’ve done for the last 10 seasons.
But a few clues aren’t adding up now that the 2025 season of I’m A Celeb has officially kicked off.
For instance, one clue the network gave was, “The jungle will be starstruck when our Mega Movie Star enters!”
But none of this year’s contestants fit the description of a ‘movie star’.
Does this mean a movie star will intrude on the camp in a future episode?
Furthermore, another clue that Channel 10 dropped before I’m A Celeb’s premiere was that one contestant would be a ‘stadium superstar chart-topper.’
Again, none of the 2025 contestants fit the bill for a stadium superstar or a chart-topper.
But don’t expect this superstar chart-topper to turn up anytime soon as according to Yahoo Lifestyle, those clues were referring to former Spice Girls member Mel B and she dropped out before filming began.
“Melanie Brown was supposed to be the English international on the show… Mel wasn’t put off by ‘the jungle’ life and would have been happy to share the campsite with her former Masked Singer co-host Hughesy, but [she] pulled out for personal reasons,” a source told Yahoo.
“It would seem the clues this year were published before the ink was dry,” the source suggests.
All of the other clues Channel 10 released in the lead-up to this year’s I’m A Celeb did make sense:
- The “Headline-Grabbing Olympian” ended up being Shayna Jack.
- The “TV Host” ended up being Nicky Buckley.
- The “Footy Legend” ended up being Sam Thaiday.
- The “Comedy King” ended up being Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes.
- The “AFL Star” ended up being Zach Tuohy.
- The “Romantic Leading Man” ended up being Matty J.
- The “Spicy Reality Star” ended up being Samantha Moitzi.
- “Reality Royalty” ended up being Reggie Bird.
- The “Influencer With A Taste For Love” ended up being Tina Provis.
- The “English TikToker” ended up being Max Balegde.
- The “Stand-Up Comedian” ended up being Geraldine Hickey.
- And the “Real Life Hero” ended up being Harrison Reid.
